Dear Carey, Gavin, Kenny, Lee, Nigel & Tracyanne,
I just came back from your concert at the Esplanade, Singapore and I was really impressed with your performance (so were my friends who populated the first few rows and a couple others sparsely populated here and there) XD
I remember writing to you guys some time towards the end of last year begging for a gig in Singapore and the wish came true =)
Thank you for the wonderful performance and we're looking forward to your new album soon =D
Regards,
xxxxx

Hi xxxxx,
Thanks for your mail. I'm glad that you enjoyed the concert, we did also. It was a lot of fun for us to play for you guys. Hopefully we can return when the new record is out. Glad you liked the new songs.
Best,

And in other related news, my mail to Mr. Jobs about the Macbook firewire has not gotten a response yet...A Quadro-armed quad core PC at less than half the price of the Mac Pro coupled with my indented Avatar seems highly enticing...
For Camera Obscura fans, do note that for the 2004 re-issue of Underachievers Please Try Harder by Merge Records, Suspended From Class and Before You Cry were from a separate recording, different from the original 2003 release by Elefant Records. The former song from the 2004 re-issue featured the signature acoustic opening now used during the band's live performances while the latter was based on a slightly different arrangement of backing tracks.
Update: Merge also featured a different recording of Anti-Western and I Don't Do Crowds from Biggest Bluest Hi-fi as opposed to the 2001 Elefant issue. The instrumentation of the re-issue track is more similar to the debut presentation by the band on a John Peel session from 14 August 2001. Labels: Lovely Surprises
